Background
Frau launches authentic European-origin stroopwafels, filled with caramel and crafted to make an impression. They are set to be sold in vibrant in-store kitchens where both scent and design play crucial roles.
The Mission
We were tasked with visually representing the product. The design was to establish presence in noisy environments and convey a sense of authenticity, quality, and joy – in a playful yet credible manner.
The Solution
We crafted an identity with detailed illustrations that tell the story behind the stroopwafel. The typography draws elegance from European serifs, while the color palette is vibrant and youthful. The result is a design language that sparks curiosity and puts the product on the map.
The design was applied to packaging, kiosk signs, and in-store visual communication – all aimed at attracting both scent and sight. The colors stand out and signal a modern interpretation of a classic.
The Results
Frau Stroopwafel has been given a new visual life. The design entices more people to pause, smell, and pick it up. By connecting a clear emotion to the product, we have helped the brand do more with less and increase engagement in the sales environment.
