Real Techniques is one of the brands in H&M Beauty's range. The products—brushes, sponges, puffs—are functional and visually challenging to differentiate. They required content that imbues the products with distinct character in a feed dominated by foundations and lipsticks.
Målsättning
Create video content that works on H&M's product pages and social channels. The tone should be warm and approachable, with a visual style that reflects the color world of Real Techniques without appearing like a product catalog.
Resultat
We filmed a series of short clips in a home setting with natural lighting and a palette of pink, coral, and rose gold. The camera worked closely – capturing products in use, not staged. Everything was edited to work without sound, with movement and color as the main elements. The material was delivered in formats suitable for both H&M's website and Meta/Instagram.



We deliberately chose to avoid the studio feel. The films were shot in a real home environment, complete with mirrors, shelves, and daylight as the natural backdrop. This gives the material an authenticity that stands out against the polished aesthetics that dominate the beauty category.
Each clip was built around a simple movement— a sponge being pressed, brushes fanning out, a hand reaching down into a toiletry bag. No complicated setups, no superimposed graphical elements. Focus solely on the product and nothing else.
The color matching with Real Techniques' existing product design was intentional. Pink and orange tones in the image connect to the packaging and create recognition without the need to show the box.
