Maria Antonieta's chocolate powder - featuring five flavors of Belgian quality for both hot and cold beverages - boasted world-class ingredients. However, the packaging did not reflect the product's premium status. Each flavor required a distinct identity within a cohesive, refined design.
Målsättning
We aimed to create packaging that becomes a design object in itself—containers that communicate, enchant, and evoke the desire to keep them. Each variant was to have its own visual identity, yet all would belong to the same exclusive realm.
Resultat
We developed cans featuring layers of illustrations that showcase tropical flora. Birds serve as visual icons for each flavor. Exclusive illustrations combined with intricate graphics and refined typography create an exotic and sophisticated aura. Deliberately unexpected color choices enhance the premium positioning.



Each jar tells its own story through layers of plant illustrations that overlap to create a profound, tropical scene. The birds became the natural way to distinguish the flavors – a simple yet effective approach that makes each product instantly recognizable. The typography is rich in detail and thoughtfully designed, exuding a sense of craftsmanship and exclusivity. The choice of colors was a deliberate strategic decision. Instead of the expected browns and beiges typical of the chocolate category, we chose unexpected shades that enhance the desired positioning. The tropical and sophisticated atmosphere is part of Maria Antonieta's strategy and speaks directly to the brand's selected target audience. These are packages that transform a shelf into an experience.
